Field Trip: Road 2703 (Lookout Mountain)
We will travel up the North Umpqua River to U.S. Forest Service Road 2703, 1.5 miles from Roseburg. We will stop to see the rare Umpqua mariposa lily (Calochortus umpquaensis) and chatterbox orchid site near Peel. We also see silver-leaf lupine, Hooker’s Indian pink, and three buckwheat species. We are not sure which facilities are open.
