Zoom Program: Restoring threatened and endangered Oregon native plants
Sara Alaica, restoration ecologist at the Institute for Applied Ecology, will give a Zoom presentation about her work at the Institute restoring rare plants in the Willamette Valley. She will share the steps in the restoration process, the challenge working with special status plants such as Kincaid’s lupine and Willamette daisy, and the progress made so far. Sara has eight years of experience writing and implementing restoration plans across a variety of habitat types and has worked with several threatened and endangered plant species including Kincaid’s lupine, thin-leaved peavine, and the New England bulrush. Sara received her MSc in Ecological Restoration from Simon Frasier University and is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner. Registration is required.
