Travis Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Willamette River Preservation Trust, will give a Zoom presentation about the Willamette River Preservation Trust. The mission of this newly formed land trust “is to conserve and restore the lands and waters of the mid to northern Willamette River Basin” through purchasing and receiving donated land for permanent protection. The Trust will acquire lands along Willamette River sub-basins such as the Clackamas, Molalla, Pudding, and Yamhill Watersheds, and points southward which to date have not had a local land trust. Travis was the Riverkeeper and Executive Director of Willamette Riverkeeper for 24 years. He is the author of the Willamette River Field Guide, Willamette River Greenways, and Willamette Water Trail Guides.
